细胞膜并非静态结构,而是一个动态流动的脂质双分子层镶嵌着蛋白质的“流体镶嵌模型”。为了实现细胞体积增长、改变形态或修复损伤,细胞必须增加其质膜面积。侧向膜生长是满足这一需求的主要方式,其本质是新合成的或循环利用的膜组分(以囊泡形式)与质膜的靶向融合。该过程必须与细胞骨架重构和膜张力调节协同进行,以确保膜扩张的受控与协调。
