该病变自首次描述以来,病例报道数量有限,其确切的组织发生学尚不完全明确。目前主流观点认为它可能起源于附睾或精索被膜中的肌纤维母细胞或多潜能间叶细胞。由于其罕见性,大型临床研究较少,现有认识主要基于个案报告和小型病例系列分析。
